Walk Multiple Steps for Someone with MS

$0 donated
Started around 8 months ago

People with Multiple Sclerosis have mobility issues and many are unable to get around without the use of canes, walkers, or wheelchairs.

Whangarei, Northland

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that currently has no cure and is highly variable, degenerative, and potentially disabling. It is characterized by a multiplicity of symptoms and is unpredictable. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50 with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed.

Please consider walking a few steps on behalf of those with MS who can't and make a donation to the Northland MS Society which will enable us to continue our work of supporting those affected by MS.

About us

Providing Services and Support to those living with Multiple Sclerosis and their families within the Northland Region.

Use of funds

Northland MS Society wishes to continue supporting people with MS and specifically those facing mobility issues, by being able to offer an MS specific weekly exercise class, and to purchase equipment that would help to ease the daily struggle.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
