Walking 'The Camino' 620km, Solo

$1,055 of $10,000 goal
Given by 7 generous donors in around 3 months

I would like to be an inspiration for women that they can go out there and do things in their 60s.

Bay of Plenty

On 5th May 2023, I am walking one of the Camino de Santiago trails along the coast of Portugal carrying my own gear (weighing around 8kg).

I have decided to do this because I know I would benefit hugely from taking time to focus on my future goal, and to be cut off from everyday distractions. I have struggled with self-confidence and depression since my divorce and being a single mother and believe that competing this walk it will make me stronger mentally, so I can be more confident and ready to take on further challenges in life. It is only too often as a single parent, that we put ourselves last when raising children, whether financially, emotionally, spiritually.

I am raising money for myself for an opportunity of a lifetime and your help would be greatly appreciated.

Its 620km all together and will take me around 35 days. It is a Pilgrimage route and is known as 'the Way of St James'.

Use of funds

Funds will cover flights from NZ to Portugal, Accommodation and food along 'The Way'
