Sadly for Ruth and Scott a leg injury prevented them from continuing on foot after the half way mark. Still they have done the Camino and that is what counts. Our intrepid duo have climbed and descended the Pyrenees and are now heading west for Compostela. They've already gone 200 kms.
The first day was a steep ascent from St Jean Pied de Port. First night spent in Roncesvalles in Spain just across the border. Then a very steep challenging descent together with a big thunder storm and plenty of rain. So they stopped for the night in Zubiri. 45 kms achieved so far!
