Every step counts. Every dollar counts. Support victims of human trafficking.
Christchurch, Canterbury
In May 2026 Scott and Ruth are walking the Camino de Santiago from St Jean Pied de Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, 800kilometres. The money raised from this walk will go towards the rehabilitation and restoration of people who've been caught up in the world of human trafficking and slavery.
Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime on earth.
Artists Against Slavery uses the creative arts to raise money for rescue, rehabilitation and prevention of this global brutality.
Artists Against Slavery is a New Zealand registered charity.
Artists Against Slavery give all funds raised to Hagar NZ who work to rehabilitate and restore the broken lives of those who've been rescued from slavery.
Camino completed 27 May 2026
Sadly for Ruth and Scott a leg injury prevented them from continuing on foot after the half way mark. Still they have done the Camino and that is what counts. Together with direct debit and Givealittle, $1505. was raised. We are very grateful to all of you for your generosity. And thank you to Ruth and Scott for so generously sharing their walk with us.
