Every step counts. Every dollar counts. Support victims of human trafficking.

Christchurch, Canterbury

In May 2026 Scott and Ruth are walking the Camino de Santiago from St Jean Pied de Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, 800kilometres. The money raised from this walk will go towards the rehabilitation and restoration of people who've been caught up in the world of human trafficking and slavery.

About us

Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime on earth.

Artists Against Slavery uses the creative arts to raise money for rescue, rehabilitation and prevention of this global brutality.

Artists Against Slavery is a New Zealand registered charity.

Use of funds

Artists Against Slavery give all funds raised to Hagar NZ who work to rehabilitate and restore the broken lives of those who've been rescued from slavery.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
