    So my heart dog kept the leg all be it skinless from ankle down. 2 toes look like they will fuse together with scar tissue but it wont affect his balance etc.

    The front of the leg is still open and between 2 of his toes is discharging but all in all we couldn't be more pleased and its been such a relief to know of all the support and again we cant THANK YOU enough for the financial support as its meant the hat has been off re decision making in Wallys care. Fingers paws and eyes crossed that he continues to improve at the pace he is. YAY !!!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH

    So it been a week tonight when Wally was taken through to the After Hours Vet Clinic and the nightmare of his leg started. A week in and he continues on high doses Antibiotics and Tuesday morning had a stay at our local vets for debridement of the dead tissue and to see if tendons were intact and nerves still operating. The GREYT news is that Wally came through that procedure well a substantial area of skin on his foot up to first joint was removed. Nerves and tendons appear good - he isn't out of the woods he will be monitored for any recurrence of infection but in the meantime he is home with us and we are watching his progression like a hawk!!

    We can not THANK everyone enough for donating and helping us get Wally the vet care he needs a HUGE lesson learnt re getting pet insurance sorted.
