Paul's mums memorial wish

If you are reading this because you donated to Paul's givealittle fund last year. ... thankyou thankyou thankyou

. It made a huge difference and allowed them to be together... especially given Covid complications.

Sadly Paul passed away in Germany on 22nd.October last year His mum was able to be with him thankfully. It was such a sad time for them both.

Paul was cremated and his ashes sent back to Nz. on the 31st October but they have not arrived here yet...!!! probably due to covid.

Paul's mum Beverly is not coping well with losing her only son. .. not surprising really.

She lives close to Purewa Cemetery in Meadowbank .

There is no way she can afford to have Paul's ashes buried there with a small headstone. which is her hearts desire... and she REALLY wants a photo of him on the headstone.

Beverly has no close family to support her emotionally or financially. Our family is her family now and we are certainly doing what we can to help her through what would be my worst nightmare. Our son Andrew and Paul were great friends and the same age.

SO....all donations..no matter how small would be a real encouragement to her .

To know she has a place to visit him ...in the years to come would be absolutely amazing .

Paul too sick to travel

Thank you to all who have donated. it is heartwarming to see how kind people in Nz are..

Paul is having ongoing problems associated with his treatment and cancer. He has

just had surgery again as his intestines were coming out if his stoma. Have a picture but it's a bit graphic so won't post.

It has been decided that he cannot travel and his mother Beverly needs to go to Germany instead of Paul coming home. This needs to happen Asap as his condition is VERY unpredictable..

We hope you are all happy for us to use the givealittle funds to get Pauls mum there. German immigration need her to prove she has sufficient funds to support herself for her time there. Insurance ,a new passport and possibly a visa are required. Airfares and travel costs. Also some money is needed to meet her financial obligations in NZ while she is out of the country.

We are trying to get this all organised in the next 10days as Paul is quite desperate to see his mum.
