Waste Waka - Etū Rākau
The aim of The Waste Waka is to inspire others to Whakamana💪 (take action), in caring for our environment.

The Waste Waka is a unique initiative that combines 🌱Taiao Kaitiaki (environmental guardianship) with music and community engagement.
It is a trolley, or "waka," that has been repurposed and designed to serve a special purpose.
The concept behind the 🛒Waste Waka is to create an 👀awareness of how much street trash🗑️ is out there.
The 👐team pushes the trolley through the streets while playing our favourite beats🎶.
As we move along, they collect 🚯Para(rubbish)," to keep our 🌱environment clean and beautiful.
The Waste Waka is a practical solution for Street Trash. 🗑️
but also creates an 🤗enjoyable and uplifting experience for everyone involved.
