Loving Husband and Father, James has two agressive brain tumors. Your generosity and support will be greatly appreciated.

Auckland

James is many things to many people.

He is a husband to Amy and a father to Jonathan. He is one of three sons to Maureen and Albert.

He is an active member of his church community at St Heliers Church and Community Centre.

He is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitar for the church band.

He has been a Sales Representative at Toolware for nearly 20 years.

James has always been larger than life, with an infectious laugh that never happens quietly and a great sense of mischief. He is all about kindness, laugher, surprises and wonderful hugs.

He has an endless amount of time and energy to give to all those in his life.

However, this bundle of positive energy has suffered a difficult blow.

In early February two large tumors were found in his brain. They are located in the regions that control speech and movement.

He has had surgery to remove the tumors, but as you can imagine, this is just the first medical procedure he will face in this very long journey.

James cannot drive for at least 6 months, which has directly affected his ability to fulfil his job. Amy works as a translator and has been taking part time work, but they need help.

All funds will go directly to Amy with the purpose of enabling her to support James through his recovery. Some funds may also be used to cover living costs which have been affected due to James´ loss of income.

Late last year James, Amy and the church band recorded a song entitled "Do You Believe in Miracles". It is now time to make a miracle happen!

A message from James & Amy  30 April 2020

* James has been taking Chemo & Radiotherapy during NZ lockdown. It's been difficult and uncertain times for all of us. They asked me to post this message.

We are feeling ridiculously blessed and somewhat overwhelmed. We have been gifted, though a Give A Little site that was initiated by the lovely Cote who has been helping us. This is made up of many different people that have chosen to think of us during this challenging time of our lives. It is no exaggeration to say that this is humbling in the extreme. We have been blown over by the support that each and every one of you have shown us and we could never begin to be able to thank you. We are touched by the variety of people, be it from family or friends, but also work customers and colleagues to mention a few. How can we begin to express just how much you mean? The bottom line is we never could. You are all the most precious people that anyone could have in their lives and we are so much better for having you in ours. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

All our love. Amy and James.
