Unfortunately we just can't afford to pay the bill up front.

Yesterday st about 12pm, our beautiful big black and white cat was hit by a car on Ohoka Road in Kaiapoi. I am very aware it is a busy road and I am also very aware that accidents happen! It doesn't make it any easier to know that whoever hit him just drove off and left him there. He was alive, you left him there, crying, hurt and alone and that breaks my heart. Thankfully a lovely lady and gentlemen, unknown to each other, both stopped after seeing him, managed to grab my neighbour who helped them scoop our big 6kg, hard to miss cat, off the road and took him straight to the vet while my neighbour came to deliver the bad news. Weasel has spent the day in incubation and we still don't know if he will come home. I just want to remind people that we all know cats and roads are unpredictable, it happens every day but it takes 5 minutes to stop and knock on a door or 2. I don't even know my neighbour but he knew that was my cat, it's not that hard to find their homes! Massive thank you to the 3 amazing people who stopped and took the time to help our Weasel. And to the person who hit him and carried on, I hope you got to wherever you needed to be in such a hurry that you couldn't stop.
We have a young family but are scraping together everything we possibly can. We will definitely be opening our own pet account after this!
Any money received will go directly to Marshall and Pringle Vet to get our Weasel home.
Thank you!! 3 July 2019
Hiya. The vet bill is in and is $382. Givealittle are paying directly to them which is great! The extra money that we have received will be going to our normal vet, Rangiora West, for them to use to help someone with an unexpected bill.
Thank you all so much!!
