To fundraise enough money to supply West Auckland Football Club with an AED machine.
Auckland
On Saturday 5th of May at Te Puru Park, in Beachlands a member of the West Auckland Football Mens First Team suffered a Cardiac Arrest. Through the quick thinking of a team mate and spectators the player was able to be regain consciousness through the use of a AED machine. Without this machine, he would not be with us today.
These are expensive machines, but ultimately save lives. It is important that these are at sporting grounds around NZ. West Auckland AFC, do not have one of these machines and after Saturday we now realize the importance of having one of these.
Our aim is to raise $1,800 so we are able to purchase an AED. However, we have been inspired to also help those clubs around us who also do not have one of these machines. Any extra money that is raised over the $1,800 will be used to help supply other sports clubs with AED machines.
It saves lives and you can't put a price on that - you never know, who, when and where this could happen but we are hopeful of the generosity of people to help us supply one to our club and to as many clubs as possible.
To purchase an AED Machine for our Football Club.
