Whanau Show - Roadshow with Lindsay - October 4 - 6th - 2019

This is a 3 day event of music by top Maori Entertainers. It is an event held especially for our Kaumatua and Kuia- who travel to these roadshows from all corners of Aotearoa. The Roadshow we will be hosting will be the 25th. The Roadshow is an extension of the popular radio show hosted by Lindsay Henare - twice a week - from Turanganui FM radio station. Named - "The Whanau Show", it is broadcast globally - and reaches about 126 different countries. The Roadshow occurs every 6 months - and is hosted at different locations throughout Aotearoa, and (in the past) Australia as well. It is a very healing time for the elderly people who attend - because it is a time when they meet up with friends and whanau they may not have seen for many years. It is also a time when they can get lost in the music of the past, and dance the weekend away.Lindsay's Whanau show is dedicated to our sick, elderly, lonely and bereaved people - of all nationalities. We are fundraising the best we can - and any funds we may receive through this page would be so gratefully received - and used to ensure that our Kaumatua and Kuia are treated like royalty - and they go home with wonderful memories to treasure.
