Whangamata Surf Life Saving Club - Building Renovation Funding Gap!
Whangamata Surf Life Saving Club still needs support to reduce the funding gap and clear our financial support commitments.

We are thrilled to announce that the renovated club buildings will be ready for use in early October 2025 with a formal opening planned in November.
As you all appreciate funding has been a challenge in the current environment, with SLSNZ and a number of very special individuals/families ensuring our core build could be completed. However, we still have a sizeable funding gap in respect of completing our interior enhancements and fit-out of around $200,000.
About us
Our purpose is to protect our community in the water – an institution for promoting, enabling and delivering fun, safe coastal recreation.
Use of funds
Interior Fit out such as furniture, appliances, lighting, blinds to enable us to complete all aspect of the project by season opening.

SWEATY SEPTMBER UPDATE‼️ 30 September 2025
We’ve hit the home stretch! After three huge weeks our volunteers are still giving it everything, and we need your support now more than ever to help us finish the month strong.

This past weekend a couple of our crew took on the Whangamatā Half Marathon Everyone else is busy smashing out their final kms, looking forward to a well deserved rest come October!
The effort, consistency, and spirit shown so far has been incredible, but we don’t want to stop short. Our volunteers would really appreciate your support as they put in this final effort. Every dollar counts, and every donation makes a real difference for our club. 🏁
