An initiative to bring our community a precious Whare Wananga to help nurture and grow our tamariki.
Albany, Auckland
We would like to introduce you to an exciting development involving our school community.
We have been given the opportunity to support Albany Junior High School in building a Whare Wananga (a house of learning) for the wider community - a meeting place where students can learn and grow in a safe, holistic, enriching environment.
The Whare Wananga will be a resource for the wider community, not just AJHS students. A significant number of our students progress on to become students at AJHS, and so we see this as an opportunity to support and enrich our students long-term through supporting a wharenui being built in their future place of learning.
We thank you very much for taking an interest in this significant school community project, and really appreciate any support you can offer us.
Albany Junior High School focuses on actively encouraging and supporting students to navigate their curriculum with confidence and resilience. Students excel in academic, cultural and sporting activities, while developing an enquiring mind.
Building materials and services needed to get the building useable.
