Taranaki
Hi my name is veronique or vee to my friends
Firstly thank you for reading this, our give a little page could greatly improve my quality of life and start me on a track to recovery as best as possible it means so much to both me and my husband who created this page.
This past year has been the hardest year of my life I was reasonably fit and health aqua jogging everyday and after looking after a friend who had a baby for a couple of weeks I fell very ill with dka leaving me in icu connected to if and tubes. After I could get up I realised I could no longer walk or carry out the most basic needs. We later found out it caused muscle atrophy and neuropathy I can no longer walk more than two metres. I can’t shower myself, dress myself, or do upkeep in my home I am fully reliant on my husband who is my full time carer. I also have daily struggles with insulin’s resistant diabetes which is the illness that cause me to get so sick and severe allergies causing me to have anaphylaxis several times a week which means that without a medical alarm I could die in a position unable to talk to tell anyone and my husband doesn’t rouse when I try wake him at night. And beginning liver failure which I am going to need to be as well as possible to fight. . I have been stuck in my home unable to do much for months now and it can get very lonely. We have spent a year asking all free avenues for help and support with many denials this has put a lot of stress and pressure on my husband and I. We simply just want me to live life. I’m not ready to give up and let my illnesses control me I’m ready to fight I just need help doing it.Due to the fact my husband is my full time carer he can’t work so our medical bills are very high and can not pay them all on our own. I am ready to fight to turn my life around I just need help. We are humbly asking for donations to help me to get a wheelchair I desperately need as I can’t get funding and also to pay for some of our most urgent medical bills we truly appreciate every single cent thank you so much
