Fundraising for a new lease of life.
Tauranga South, Tauranga
Michael is a stay-at-home dad of a beautiful 6 year old daughter. An avid bird photographer he adventures out of the house in his wheelchair to take photos of local wildlife. Michael was born with Spina bifida and has been restricted to a wheelchair increasingly over the last 20 years. His current wheelchair is loud, and doesn't allow him to adventure to where the birds are, or they are frightened away before he can get close enough. He is unable to follow his daughter around fields and parks due to the wheelchair, so she is unable to play like a child wants to.
For every $100 raised I will walk up the Mount.
Michael is my husband and it breaks my heart leaving him behind because he cannot access anywhere.
A wheelchair with interchangeable tyres for everyday and off-road use.

We reached out for formal quotes and they have come in at a minimum of $20000. It's frustrating that trying to get accessibility is so far out of reach. Regrettably we have to increase the goal. I will still stand by my word of walking up the Mount for each $100 raised. Thank you for your donations so far.
