Sometime this week my wheelchair should arrive and then I'll have to learn to use it. I hope to raise money for the electric bit in time but for now it is a start!
I wanted to let you all know that I have now got the money for stage 1 of my wheelchair journey, I have enough to buy the strongback self propelled wheelchair. Givealittle are releasing funds this Friday, so I should have my new chair by the end of the month!
Stage 2 is raising money for the electric add on that will give me more range. That's another $5000. I am selling things I no longer need on trademe and marketplace, I am determined!
Hi everyone, I am changing my chair after going for a test drive on the one I hoped to get due to comfort level. I have decided to go with a Self Propelled Wheelchair that is more suitable for my body type. It can be used in as a walker and a chair making it ideal for me. I will need to get the motor to make it into a electric wheelchair once I get a bit more funding and sell my electric bike. The bike is now too dangerous due to my balance issues.
