A journey of a 13 yr old born with FND & CRPS
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Bella has CRPS & FND which affects her greatly. She will have periods of time where you see her, she is walking, talking & laughing. Unfortunately the other side is so much more different. All four limbs are now affected & seize up so she cannot use her arms & legs at times. She needs help showering & dressing. Pain is an everyday constant issue & we aren't talking a little ouchie but instead screaming, tears streaming down the face & to the point touch is not allowed & clothing is difficult to wear due to the sensitivity. Seizures have started where she blacks out & end of last year she had an accident at school & compressed her spine.
If she had this issue from an accident or virus, Bella would be able to access funding immediately without issue but unfortunately as she was born with it the funding is extremely limited if not completely unavailable.
Funding was just recently declined for a new wheelchair as her one is breaking as she didn't have a physical disability but instead a "neurological disorder that affects her mobility and physically. " It's just a matter of words that caused the funding to be declined & yet means pretty much the same thing but unfortunately the help for Bella once again never existed.
A teenager, keen on art, loves animals, volunteers to help in a store to raise funds for suicidal teenagers, has faith in God & gets into mischief with her best friend Em.
Please help Bella with the things to allow her to move around and cope with everyday life
Bella is our daughter
Funds will now also go towards her ambulance membership and any other unfunded medical costs. A Page Update will be posted when unfunded medical costs arise.

Firstly the wheelchair so she can get around school & elsewhere when limbs locked so she can continue going to school & get an education like every other kiwi kid. Any funding left over will be on other equipment eg Wheelchair accessible vehicle, new shower aids, ramp access at home etc
Struggling with the year already 20 March 2026
Hiya everyone! After a very quiet summer break to let her body reboot from a long year at school, schools back and NCEA is on...
Unfortunately she is already showing signs of her body struggling.
We have a new physio who is saying she needs a full body scan and her back has issues they need to address quickly.
Last three fridays she has struggled to stay at school due to pain and today she didn't get to school at all due to a seizure after games night held for a club she attends at the school.
We are reopening the page as we are really needing support to get the next ambulance membership for her and to keep going towards the vehicle she needs for her mobility and wheelchair ramp for her days she's struggling with which are increasing.
Thank you for your donation it really helps Bb to access the things she needs for her disability
