Help us raise money to support our friend with her diagnosis of Motor Neuron Disease, to keep her as independent and mobile as possible.
Hawke's Bay
About 12 months ago, Robyn noticed that one of her legs was getting weak. As a Nurse, this roused a number of questions and a turmoil of possible diagnosis running through her head.
A few short months later, her worst case scenario was diagnosed... Motor Neuron Disease or MND.
Robyn now wears a splint on one leg, has muscle wasting and despite these restrictions still comes to work with a smile on her face.
The outlook is not ideal. Her mobility will get more difficult over time and is posing the biggest obstacle right now. Robyn and her husband Maurice want to enjoy what quality time they can out and about and we want to help by raising money to purchase a mobility scooter to make this easier for her.
Please donate and share to help this beautiful soul who has spent her life helping others to keep her independence for as long as possible.
We are work colleagues who want to help Robyn have the best life she can moving forward with her recent diagnosis. We have seen first hand her mobility decline and want to help by raising funds for a mobility scooter so her and Maurice can continue their active outdoors lifestyle together.
Mobility aids, primarily a mobility scooter to help robyn get around and remain able to enjoy the outdoors.
New wheels!! 13 November 2018
So we have raised the funds (and some extra!) to cover the scooter!
Thanks so much to everyone that donated, you are all so special being part of this journey for Robyn and her and her husband Maurice are overwhelmed with you support.
The scooter got a good spin on the weekend for the fundraising walk for MND - check out the pic of the wheels in action.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all once again for your kind donations 😘
