Why I am shaving my head?

I love my hair.... but I also love my poppa. In March I wanted to do Shave for a cure but I missed it and my poppa wasn't excited about me doing it either. In May he was diagnosed with cancer. In 5 Months he has had Radiation, Chemo and now is at the start of his Heavy Chemo. This has made me think about Kids who might be going through the same treatment. Last week my Poppa's hair was falling out and he needed to do a light shave. So I decided at the end of the School term I would Shave my head with him. HE AGREED! But I want to raise awareness and money to help those Kids in the same situation. I have made a commitment to raise $2000 before I shave my hair. My hope is to have raised this by 14th December as it is the last day of school and I will be shaving it that day. The $2000 will go to Child Cancer Foundation. If there is more it will be for my Poppa to do something he enjoys! I am also looking into donating my hair to make wigs for kids with cancer.
