Willem's open heart surgery

This is my dad Willem (Gerhard) Slabbert. He is 52 years old and currently in the CCU at hospital. In the afternoon of 25th September 2023 he started saying he felt terrible and had chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating and his heart was beating so fast in his chest and his fingers started going numb. We rushed him to the hospital where he felt so bad he thought it was the end for him. Willem has a family who loves him including two children and he is the main income. Giving his circumstances he will not have a job anymore due to his heart condition. He was diagnosed with ischemic heart disease and mitral valve prolapse which leads to mitral valve regurgitation. Willem needs open heart surgery to replace his mitral valve and is staying in the hospital until his surgery and we are unsure when he is coming home. Willem is stressing so much about being in hospital that his heart is still paining from worry about not being able to pay his bills when his main focus should be on getting better.

The expenses such as power, rent and medical expenses is building up for my dad each day. We tried everywhere from the government and work and income that is supposed to help people who lose their jobs to have a bit of income to pay rent as me the daughter income alone is not nearly enough for the rent of the house
