Raising funds to enhance Willow’s quality of life by providing essential therapies, equipment, and unforgettable experiences.
Bay of Plenty
Willow is a brave four-year-old living with Mucolipidosis, a rare and life-limiting genetic condition that affects her muscular, nervous, and skeletal systems, impacting nearly every aspect of her life— from mobility and communication to her overall health. Despite these challenges, Willow’s smile lights up every room, and her resilience inspires everyone around her. Her whānau faces daily hurdles, managing complex care routines, countless medical appointments, and the emotional weight of knowing how fragile her time with us may be.
To support Willow and her whānau, we’ve created this page to help raise the funds needed to enhance Willow’s quality of life. The money will go towards specialized therapies, essential mobility equipment, and unforgettable experiences that will bring joy to Willow’s days. In addition, we’re organizing a special kaupapa called "Walk for Willow" to further support her care.
Willow and her whānau face unimaginable challenges each day, balancing complex care routines and the emotional weight of her condition. But with your tautoko, we can bring light into their lives. Please consider donating and follow Walk for Willow on Facebook or Instagram to stay updated on her journey and the upcoming kaupapa. Together, we can make everyday count for Willow and show her whānau they have a community standing behind them.
Ngā mihi aroha,
Laura
I am a proud Aunty of our beautiful Willow. After three years since her diagnosis, I’ve gathered the courage to ask for community help. Willow has taught me to make everyday count, and I strive to live by that lesson every day.
