Wings over Australia

This is an idea that a small group of Australian-based aviation professionals have come up with, we want to find a way to bring Dave Homewood of the Wings Over New Zealand Aviation Forum, and the Wings over New Zealand Show podcast series, over to Australia for a tour of museums and collections and to attend the Warbirds Downunder Airshow. We're calling this project 'Wings over Australia'!

We hope to get Dave to the Temora Aviation Museum for the airshow, the Australian War Memorial, the RAAF Museum, the B-24 Memorial Museum, and several other museums and airfields. He'll be hosted by Australian members of the WONZ Forum, and whilst in Australia Dave will be holding a Wings Over New Zealand Forum Meet for the Oz-based members.

He will meet and interview a very interesting selection of veterans, aviators and historians in the aviation scene around Melbourne, Canberra and Temora,, and record material for a special set of Wings of Australia episodes of his famous WONZ Show podcast. People involved in Australian aviation will have the opportunity to share history, promote their warbird projects, their services and products, and tell their aviation stories through the WONZ Show and get this information out to the world.

The money raised will assist towards the following costs:

- Airline tickets Auckland to Melbourne and return (estimated at around $700)

- Airport Transfers (approx. $170)

- Food, some accommodation costs, some transport costs, various site entrance fees,and other possible costs (upwards of $200)
