We are raising money to give warm puffer jackets to school children in Rukum, Western Nepal
Auckland
Kia ora koutou, namaste, and hello my friends!
In 2019 I went to Nepal and helped deliver over 1500 warm puffer jackets to very deserving children in remote communities in northern Nepal alongside the wonderful team at Karma Flights. Thanks to your generous support, I was able to contribute 200 jackets to that total.
This trip was life changing for me, and it was a privilege to receive the hundreds of warm smiles your generosity brought to the faces of these adorable children.
In late October I am going back to Nepal with friends Brian Milton and Joe Beautrais. We will hike into the mountains of Rukum in western Nepal to again deliver jackets to as many schools as our team can raise funds for. These dedicated kids hike through the mountains to school, sometimes for hours each day, and having a jacket will make a huge difference to their ability to access the education they desire and deserve.
Each jacket costs approx $20NZD, and it would be amazing if you could help some very cool kids stay warm this winter by donating whatever you can afford to this lovely cause.
We will cover our own costs, and trek to village schools to personally hand these jackets to children, so you can be confident all of the money you give will go to a child in need.
If you donate $20, I’ll even send you a picture of a happy smiling child wearing the flash new puffer jacket YOU bought for them!
No donation is too small, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
Karma flights is a non-profit organisation based in Pokhara, Nepal. I volunteered with them on several inspirational projects in 2019 and can’t wait to reunite with the wonderful team.
Every single dollar you donate will go toward purchasing warm puffer jackets for children who need them. One jacket will be purchased for every $20NZD donated
