Work Wanted Nz

Employment opportunities in Nz are advertised everyday on sites such as trademe and seek, but I have identified a lack of advertising for the large number of people looking for work.

These are people that might be looking for a part-time fill in job or their next career move, these may be people that see job ads and listed ideal requirements of an applicant and think - Am I good enough? And possibly scroll past and dismiss the position altogether.

I believe employers often develop a knack for identifying potential staff and know what works in their business and which personality suits it best.

I propose a web platform that caters for people looking for work and employers looking to hire, I envisage a profile system that's basically an online Cv but in a Much more comprehensive form that lets them explain why they are looking, what they require in the form of time - Eg...can they only work during school hours, can they only work 3 days a week. The profiles will include recent work history if wanted, skills, qualifications and experience as well as their interests.

People listing a work wanted profile would pay a small fee and that would cover website development, advertising and social media marketing and running costs of the business I will create to run the site.

At this stage I'm looking for funding to employ a web designer to create the site and some initial advertising, and would look at offering the first 100 profile listings for free.

I'm 30 years old with 5 kids, a busy life working full-time as a dairy farmer and have experienced first hand the struggle of gaining employment, and I figure - nothing ventured, nothing gained. I hope eventually I can move to looking after the site full time and developing it further to include possible assistance to those that may struggle to find suitable employment.

I would love if in the near future I could help fund ventures like mine.

I've left it as an open goal because in these initial stages the costs of creating such a unique website are unknown.
