World Athletics Champs finally within Jacob's reach.

$2,283 of $4,530 goal
Given by 43 generous donors in around 3 months

Jacob needs a little help to reach his next athletics goal.....the Para World Champs in Dubai 2019.

Waikato

Over the last 6 years re-classification, cancer and non-selection have kept Jacob from reaching this goal, but this year he’s been selected and everything is falling into place. He’s continued to gain PB’s, NZ records and top 10 world rankings in 100m & 200m sprints with a T35 classification.

Having a physical disability hasn’t defined Jacob’s career path & personal goals, it has ignited them. A kid with a passion for sport has become a resilient young man overcoming adversity, getting on with it and encouraging others to do the same.

He’s been busy studying a Bachelor of PE at Otago Uni, working full time every summer in Hamilton, training, competing and being involved with organisations’ working to help others be active and follow their dreams.

Jacob has always put 100% effort in and the results show this, with over 10 Paralympic NZ records and various medals from NZ & Australian National champs, right up to the two top 8 placings he earned at the Paralympics in Rio. Jacob has always been determined to achieve his goals. With your help he will be able to do that in Dubai this year, with the hope of making the finals once again in the 100 and 200m.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
