On a personal note, thank you from the bottom of my heart for so willingly supporting my plea to raise funds to help Reg meet over USD$100k of unexpected costs. The page will close tomorrow and you have my heartfelt thanks.

    A message REG himself:

It's great to be home after 2 ½ Months Drama of Delays / Extreme Highs & Lows and as Expected KIWI CAN DO Resilience & Engineering was the HISTORY making WINNER. We didn't meet all our goals but despite everything thrown at us we still made history.

  • Adios Bolivia

A massive effort has been undertaken by the few remaining team to get everything packed up and on the way back to NZ.

This event was conducted with a STRICT ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN that was fully implemented. You wouldn't even know CMR had been there!

If you are not already following us on FB please head to https://www.facebook.com/CMRBolivia and check out the list of achievements and latest Videos of departing the Salt.

It was a four week campaign that ended up a ten week campaign!

Every massive hurdle nearly shut it all down but we continued to find a way again, and again, and again.

The many 'near end of road' experiences of this event set a new record of it's own!!

At the final death nell, incredibly talented, dedicated and passionate people stepped up, flew in, stayed on, came back, and pulled rabbits out of magic hats to resuscitate CMR Bolivia 2025 Challenge.

This is NOT the last of CMR Wairua 1 and 2 - who have proved on test performance that they have the potential to blast the current records in to near unbeatable history.

Meantime no big motorsport money in our world!

Reg sold everything to fund BOLIVIA and three postponements created financial havoc. Funding woes will linger long after the event.

Reg's sacrifice and risk, and that of all the crew who funded their own way to and from Bolivia, was not for their own glory. But to showcase New Zealand and demonstrate what Kiwis are capable of in every regard.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT.

  • Last chance to see potential tomorrow

      20 November 2025

Today was the last day of short FIA event.

We need six days and in the end were lucky to have three AND have the weather hold out.

MINI showed its potential with a 155 Mph today - with more to come - before having to abort the run due several minor problems.

Tomorrow we hope to find out MINI Potential & chase 160 + Mph

    WAIRUA2

Has had more configuring done & now hopefully running as it should & ready to go

Tomorrow is last chance for TEST run and see Wairua 2's potential.

    REALITY

This has been a long hard Tortuous Journey of KIWI CAN DO Resilience.

Tomorrow will be the final day to chase speed in Bolivia 2025 with MINI and WAIRUA2

    TOMORROW IT CAN HAPPEN

    HOLD YOUR BREATH

Meantime we continue to work towards to 200k shortfall to cover all our unbudgeted costs of a months delay and get home. Thank you for your support and for continuing to share this page with other supporters.

Fly back FIA officials dor the race days next week! We are proceedinflgnin good faith that we will eventually raise the shortfall we need to pay all our event generated costs and get everything back home!

Thank you for being part of our team. We greatly appreciate your support! If you are not already - pleasemfollow us on Facebook:CMR Bolivia

  • Human Resilience at it's best

Four weeks ago this adventure was DEAD in its tracks!

Thanks to your amazing response CMR is still breathing. But we remain on an aspirator, so please do continue sharing the Givealittle page wide and far - as we strive to raise the shortfall of USD$125k needed to make this happen.

The focus, work ethic, innovation, creative thinking, and comaraderie of our Team has been second to none.

Unfortunately with a months delay (after three heartbreaking postponements) we have been functioning on a skeleton crew these last two weeks - as most of our team has progressively had to head home.

The good news is a few of our experienced Kiwi team are on planes heading BACK this week. It's a huge sacrifice that also impacts their families and employers but we can't make history without them!! THANK YOU TEAM.

Thanks also to new volunteers from around the world who have responded to our pleas for crew. We can't wait for you to arrive!

We still urgently need general crew, and DATA LOGGERS. If that's you , or someone you know - and you are ready for a Landspeed bootcamp - contact us now on info@cmr.org.nz.

    Time is ticking:

Initial Dyno and testing 12/13 Nov

    Initial test funds 14/15/16 Nov

    FIA records 17,18,19 Nov
