World Carp Classic fishing Championship A first in the History of the event and a first for New Zealand with 24 countries participating

Auckland

Hi there my name is Marius Koekemoer, my aim is to participate with my son in the World Carp Classic fishing Championship 2016 held in Czech Republic in September 2016. A first in the History of the event and a first for New Zealand with 24 countries participating in this 5 day event

This event is a great opportunity to raise awareness of fresh water fishing also known as coarse fishing in New Zealand and also that water pollution is a real thread to our country.

NZ has never been represented at this event. It is my dream to get more Kiwi families involved to share my passion for this sport. Not only is it a sport, but it is a great way of winding down, relax, building family bonds and is great for your Mental Health. This sport also gives every kiwi family an opportunity for an affordable get away. It is especially great when the sun set and it is only you and the water and the anticipation of a fish on the hook. If there is one thing that Kiwi’s love, it is the outdoors, why not venture on something new like coarse fishing, what a great combination it is.

This sport is for all ages it does require some tricks of the trade to be successful in a catch of the day. Once you are hooked there is no looking back. New Zealand has a great potential for this sport, it is one of the few counties that has great resources and allowing Kiwi’s to fish for Carp. As a potential sponsor for my trip, I would like to thank you for your time and your support. Without sponsors we will not be able to develop this new exciting sport in New Zealand. It will be my honour to accompany more Kiwi’s on the next World Carp Classic Championship. They have a junior world cup every year and how great it will be to have the younger generation involved. The only way I can make this Kiwi dream come true is to have the support of my potential sponsors. I sincerely thank you for this opportunity.

When we get back to New Zealand we would like to start a junior academy and teach what we have learned to our youth. Not everyone is so lucky to have a boat or know someone that has one. This is a great opportunity to get our youth of the streets, away from games and next to a lake.

This event has a massive audience in Europe with BBC and Sky Sport following the 7 days from start to finish. What an honour it will be to curry the NZ flag in the parade. Thank you for your support

I am the team Captain and also the co-founder of the first Carp club in New Zealand. Let get our youth involved. Great outdoors activity for entire family. I have been trying to convince people for a few year now to fish in this event. Everyone said it can't be done to expensive and laugh in my face. Where there is a will there is a way ....................
