Representing New Zealand at The World U21’s Snooker Championships, 2019 please help support me, and this amazing sport.
Nationwide
Hi my name is Michaela Spencer and I am the only under 21 female playing snooker in Hawkes Bay.
I have been lucky enough to be selected to represent New Zealand for the second year in a row at The World U21’s Snooker Championships in China this year in July
I've been playing snooker for 8 years But really taking it seriously for the past 3 years ago, I play in as many of the bigger competitions around NZ as I can to get plenty of experience.
I practice 4-6 times a week for at least 4hrs at a time. Whenever I get the chance I go down to the Napier RSA to practice and play other people. I’ve had a lot of support from the Napier RSA, my family and friends. I've also had a lot of support from other snooker players in Hawkes bay who have taken me in and encouraged me to continue playing as there are very few females who play snooker in New Zealand.
I'm always feeling that my game is improving. I believe that competing in the worlds for the second time gives me mental strength and the focus needed to play at my best, and with your support and all of you helping me get to China, it really makes us all part of the same team !
The money raised will go towards flights to China, accommodation, and towards the general cost involved In competing in such an amazing International Tournament.
