We are fundraising to complete the "Community and Whānau" deck which is part of the new Worser Bay Boating Club clubrooms.

In 2014 after 60 years in our old building, Worser Bay Boating Club began the process of planning to rebuild our clubrooms. Having completed the detailed designs and consenting processes, and with more than 75% of the funds in place for the project, the rebuild started in April 2018. It is almost complete.

We have worked very hard to get it to this point.

We are hoping that our friends and families and our wider community will help us finish the project by contributing to what we are calling the "Community and Whānau" deck (the southern end of the building). Every dollar counts.

We will be hosting a summer bbq for all those that contribute to welcome you to the new building.

Use of funds

The money will be spent on finishing the deck. Any excess will go towards sailing programmes for local schools.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
