Hi Dr Jacky,

Thank you so much for doing this, please do not supply anything to red cross in China. You must contact locate hospitals and donate funds/medical supplies to them directly. Please...

Thanks a lot

Dr Jacky

Dear Codi,

I have been following all the news and supply chain and i promise I will not supply anything or donate any money to Red Cross in China.

I have already got some contacts with some local hospital and I hope we can get the logistic side sorted at the moment.

I have a question regards Hefei medical supplier. How do they use our donation to supply WuHan ? Is Hefei Medical Supplier a private company? I thought the current problem in China was severe enough to allow Chinese government to take over the supply line in whole Hefei province. Therefore, I think the Hefei medical supplier is supposed to be helped by Chinese government totally already, right? I donated money as well and I want to ask what this Hefei Medical Supplier actually is ? Thank you .

Dr Jacky

Hi,

Please read the previous message. Wuhan supplier is a medical supplier manufacturer, www.medpro.cn but 安徽省 health official has instructed them to produce supply only to themselves as they are protecting their own hospital supply, so this option is no longer available. He had the official visitation this morning and told me this news around 8pm HK time.

At the mean time we are sourcing different manufacturer around the world such as indonesia. We have sent someone to do factory visitation and make sure the standards are acceptable for China. you can add me on wechat 2246835551 for most up to date info i got.

In summary to answer your questions. The current problem is not that China is poor and don't have money. The bottle neck is factory closed down during chinese new year and once they are reopened, all supply chain will be under government controls and distribution. Even we got the money to donate, its very hard for us to get to manufacturer to order direct to ensure 100 monitoring from us. I have talked to my supplier and they said either you source something outside china which comply to the code or we just donate to either 1. hospital direct / 2. red cross / or 3. any authorised charity organisation in wuhan.

Please feel free to add me on wechat 2246835551.

PS. Give a little still hasn't approved the campaign anyway as they are suppose to fund raise for new zealander. we need to wait and see anyway. =)

Hong Kong News - even hk fire department has only got expired (4months expired) N95 at their workplace........ its very limited in supply in whole China at the moment especially we need to comply to certain China Code.

Hi Dr Lam

Thank you for setting up the page. But here I have some questions:

1. Are you going to obtain supplies from China or import from NZ?

2. What is the name of that medical supplier in Hefei? Are you purchasing supplies from them?

2. How long would it take for the medical supplies to reach local hospitals and which hospital are you supplying to?

4. Can everyone see the progress of the whole procedure?

Thanks again for what you have been done and looking forward to your reply! :)

Dr Jacky

Hi!

As you can see the circumstances change every hour in China. I will try to answer your question to the best info i have up to this minute.

1. We supposed to obtain supplies from wherever possible..... I had a dental supplier which we have worked with which can do coverall, masks etc. As the situation unfold, An fei province has placed an order to them and want them to secure all of their production to prioritize for their own province. therefore we are no longer able to get products directly from manufactuer which could give us best money for value for our donors. I only got the news like few hours ago and from my supplier, he said most manufacturer in China has been supervised by government now for local supply. He suggested two ways : 1. either find supply outside china (but there is a very strict code to comply with) and 2, donate to red cross or wu han charity fund. we have located one indonesia manufacturer which can produce N95. We have sent someone to the factory to check the stocks and i will update in my wechat as its unfold. my wechat is 2246835551.

2. www.medpro.cn they are suppling our implant surgical gowns and implant kits. so i know they are genuine supplier. However, they are not longer able to produce for other cities due to provincial officials orders. Our alternatives now will be donate to red cross or hospital direct.

3. we are currently searching Hong Kong / Indonesia and hopefully we can secure something.

4. I will post up all progress and TT and transfer receipt. I will keep it as transparent as i can do!

Sorry for the late reply! I am currently in Hong Kong and try to liaise and remotely working on this fund raising.

Look forward to give you all some updates once we have sourced suppliers.

Keep in touch

Hi Dr Jacky, I have donated and I assume more people will do! But friend of mine wants to know will you keep the donation transparency? when and how you deliver to the hands of the victims in Wuhan? People want to see that as there are many crowdfunding systems today were not clear enough in their delivery lines! Thank you!

Dr Jacky

Hi, I am a dentist in Auckland and Once fund has been released, all purchase with invoice and receipts and where the money has been used will be updated in here so everyone knows I am genuinely helping them! Same as last campaign at botany, i will ensure public knows the result and my hands are clean =)
