Bangers to Bluff
No it’s not about sausages!!
It’s about buying an old banger (car) for under a $1000 and driving it over 11 days , with a group of like-minded adventurers, from Auckland to Bluff, to raise money for charity.
The group will be limited to 20 “bangers” and is a fund raiser run by the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay (Inc)
The route is “Roads less travelled” . The bangers have lots of support!!
Carjam carjam.co.nz are a major sponsor and as NZ's leading vehicle checking provider will be providing free vehicle reports to competitors to help buy their trusty steed! Carjam are also sponsoring an entrant. Protecta Insurance has also entered a vehicle and donated third party insurance for all entrants. The AA have donated AA Roadside Assist to all vehicles.
Coast Radio and the NZ Herald's "Driven" are supporting the event.
The Half Moon Bay Rotary Club will provide a support vehicle and crew for the whole trip.
At the conclusion in Invercargill, all vehicles will be auctioned off by William Todd and Co (2011) Ltd with all proceeds going to Charity.
