Help Xavier Regain Her Life After 3 Traumatic Brain Injuries

    Xavier has returned from treatment and is settling back at home. Treatment went really well, and she has already seen some improvement in function, which is such a relief. It did, however, identify some damage to the neck (during the latest fall) so she is back at home, and in the NZ system to address that. Thank you so much for your support. Xavier is finally back on computers (!!!) so will be in touch shortly!

  • Xavier made to the USA

    Just an update to let everyone know where things are at for Xavier.

    Xavier nervously left NZ on Thursday evening for the USA. On arrival, after consultation, CognitivFX are wanting to extend her treatment based on where they feel she is at currently, and this has been confirmed. As a result of the cost involved in doing this, we are setting a new total of $18,000 to cover these extra USD$ costs. At the end of her now extended treatment, if she isn't progressing as well as they feel she needs to, they may recommend she stays on in Provo for further rehab treatment. We'll update on this as soon as we know...hopefully this isn't required!

  • Your support is overwhelming

    OMG, you guys are truly amazing, and what you've done for Xavier is so remarkable. She has been in tears seeing what you've done for her, and has told me to pass on that she'll be reaching out to each of you personally, after she has received treatment, and returned to New Zealand.

    I wanted to also share that I'll keep this page open for donations. The actual total trip costs for Xavier are close to $13,000, so if anyone still wanted to contribute, it would go to covering the full travel costs of her trip to the USA.
