The 2022 year has kicked off and so has our annual donation appeal.

Nationwide

2021 was a great year for us in terms of growth, over the year we worked with over 85% on New Zealand Secondary Schools, helped over 4700 students from 200 schools setup and run their own business through the Young Enterprise Scheme, and worked with over 2200 junior secondary students who participated in one of 41 facilitated experiences we ran across the country.

However with the amazing growth also comes increased costs associated with running our programmes, and this is where you can help.

About us

Young Enterprise exists because every generation needs builders. For 45 years, YES has helped young people discover confidence, capability, agency and a a belief that they can shape their own future.

We work with over 5,000 secondary students from over 200 schools each year, many experiencing: their first taste of leadership, their first failure and recovery, their first moment of believing “I can do this!”, their first creation of a real business, with supportive mentors, market validation and a national stage to share what they’ve made.

YES doesn’t just teach business, it builds self belief that creates momentum capable of reshaping communities, industries, and futures.

Use of funds

Donations will go towards keeping our programmes as accessible for as many of our rangatahi as possible. The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme costs us more than $400 to run per student each year, we only charge $35. Your funds cover the difference!
