Our new Young Mums' House is a dedicated physical space for teen mums and their pēpi. We'll be providing a nurtured environment, centred on helping mum and baby have the best possible start together, a space of practical support, and growing skills and confidence.
MMS will provide both specialist in-house support as in our Youth houses but also coordinate the diverse supports needed by all new families, particularly right after birth. With our strength-based, client-led practices, we can measurably prepare these teenagers to have a better future.
About us
Methodist Mission Southern has been standing up for social justice in the Otago region since 1890. MMS operates Youth Transition Houses & Little Citizens ECE. The Mission community-based support, advocacy and education programmes.
