Salutations and greetings to you all! My name is Jacynta Scurfield and I’m fundraising for a very special trip with the SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company to perform in The Globe Theatre, London, this year.
I started acting when I was 3 years old. Since age 6, I have been completely engrossed in the works of Shakespeare when I watched Macbeth performed live for the first time. I have been acting with SGCNZ since I was 11 years old when I played Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2020 I was honoured to participate in the SGCNZ National Shakespeare Schools Production and was subsequently one of only 24 students nationwide selected for the Young Shakespeare Company.
Getting to perform at The Globe in London is truly a lifelong dream come true and a wonderful opportunity to share a little bit of NZ with the world. Your donations would be greatly valued and appreciated in helping make this possible! I thank thee, good sirs.
Use of funds
The money raised will be used to help fund the trip to The Globe in London. Including: travel expenses, food, accommodation and the theatrical experience itself.
