Your Gift, Our Future: 15 Years of Morrinsville Gallery

October – December 2025

Fundraising Goal: $50,000

Your donation is vital to the sustainability of Morrinsville Gallery. As a charitable trust, we must raise $152,000 annually to keep the gallery running and continue serving our community.

Operated by two staff and 40+ long-serving volunteers, we foster a vibrant, inclusive space for locals and visitors, while driving regional cultural and business growth.

Most of our funding comes from grants, donations, and sponsorships, as the gallery is free to the public and receives no central government support.

Board Chair Graham Shortland shares:

"We are proud to share a milestone with our community: the Morrinsville Art Gallery Charitable Trust, a non-profit organisation, is celebrating its 15th anniversary as the heart of community art in the Matamata-Piako District.

We could not have reached this moment without the generous support of local organisations and individuals. Our impact on the community has been positive across many levels. Despite the tireless efforts of our board, staff and Fundraising Committee, our financial reserves are once again under strain. The gallery continues to deliver vibrant programming and events, including recent fundraising Olé- Olé Spanish-Flamenco Fiesta, the Cow Art Festival, and the Boro Show. These events have helped raise awareness and funds, but more support is needed".

Thank you for supporting our gallery—your generosity makes all the difference.
