Help us volunteer in Papua New Guinea giving primary healthcare and education to families and children
Wellington
Hi everyone,
In November this year Rebecca and I are travelling to Papua New Guinea to volunteer on a medical ship. We will be going into different communities in Papua New Guinea and providing them with primary healthcare and health education.
Papua New Guinea is a developing country with limited healthcare and very minimal health literacy. Our role is to provide them with basic health care and education relating to personal hygiene.
We are going with the organisation YWAM which is a Christian missionary organisation that operates medical outreach programs in hard to reach areas.
However volunteering doesn't come without a cost. The money raised will go towards the different costs of the outreach consisting of a ship fee which is a contribution towards accommodation, meals, and operational costs on board the medical ship as well as visas and flights.
If you’re in a position to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution makes a difference and helps us reach people who otherwise wouldn’t have access to basic healthcare.
Thank you so much
Anna and Rebecca
All funds raised will go towards outreach costs, including the ship fee, visa, and flights.
The ship fee helps cover the general costs of living and working on the medical ship — things like accommodation, meals, and operational expenses.
Thank you so much Ryan!
