I'm fundraising to travel with a team into Borneo working on a community project building schools and teaching/having fun with the children.

Wellington

Hi my name is Zach and I am in year 10 (currently age 14) at Kapiti College (near Wellington). I am hoping to go to Borneo in April 2019 as part of a team of 19 students organised by the Antipodeans group who provide opportunities for educational travel and experiential learning programs. I will be working with the team on a community project, working to improve the infrastructure of a local school and interacting with the local children. This is a unique experience for me to develop resilience, mindfulness and real-world leadership skills. I’m also going there to have fun! Climbing the highest mountain in Malaysia at 4000m and meeting some of the smartest animals alive, especially the orangutan. I am personally looking forward to meeting the young children, having fun with them and teaching them things like the Haka. I need to raise a total of $7890 to go. I am currently selling chocolates and looking for a part-time job to help fundraise. Your support would be much appreciated to help me reach my goal.

Use of funds

Funds raised will go towards my travel costs i.e. airfares, accommodation and food (the total cost of the expedition is set by Antipodeans at $7,890)
