Zach's NZ Volleyball tour to the US

Hey there, my name is Zach Langbridge and I’m a 17 year old Nelson College year 13 student that has gained the honour of being selected for NZ Junior Mens Volleyball tour to the USA in July this year. While the honour is great, the cost is also huge and the timeline for fundraising very short, hence this appeal.

In the past reasonable timelines have allowed my parents and I to fundraise via a variety of means, selling wine, quiz nights, sausage sizzles, film showing, car washing etc. Many of you as part of the Nelson community have contributed to these endeavours over the years, along with my parents, and have helped me and enabled me to participate in all of my competitions that I’ve done so far which has led me to this opportunity. This is truly appreciated.

With the limited time available, this latest selection is both my dream come true, and way beyond anything that we have managed before. The overall costs for my volleyball this year in getting to the USA are approaching $7000, and my options for fundraising are severely limited.

Because of this lack of time to prepare and fundraise it means that I have been left with limited ability to come up with and organise any events and because of this I have to ask you all for a generous donation and support in any form. In return for this donation I will be running a private facebook group that you will be added to so that I can share my experience with you all in the form of pictures and diaries for each day. The hope is that you as my supporters will be able to experience this journey with me since your donations will be the reason that it is all possible.
