Zac's Japan School Exchange Trip

Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty

"Hi everyone! 👋

I've been chosen as one of the Tauranga Intermediate students to go on a trip to 🇯🇵 Japan in October 2026. I am raising money to help me go — and I’d love your support to get me there!

I'm really looking forward to this experience, I get to learn about a new culture, become more independent and experience the world. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to stay with a host family.

Some of things I will be doing and learning on the trip are:

- Ride on a bullet train

- Go to a sumo wrestling performance

- Visit Tokyo's Meiji Jingu Shrine

- Experience the city centre of Japan's "Kawaii" culture

- Visit the worlds tallest broadcasting tower and go to Shibuya (worlds largest intersection)

- Explore Tokyo's oldest temple

- Have a rickshaw experience through the historic streets of Asakusa

- Attend the Osaka Aquarium and see the whale sharks

- Walk through the bamboo forest

- Visit the Togetsukyo Bridge

- Make Sushi

I'm really excited about learning new things. I enjoy trying different foods, exploring new cultures, and understanding how people live in other countries.

Use of funds

My main goal is to raise $3,000 on my own to contribute to this trip. The money will be spent on flights and travel.
