My dog Zahn needs surgery at Massey Vet Hospital

Zahn has grown up to be a lovely boy. I adopted him from the pound at 11 weeks old. He is now five. He loves to run and swim.

Zahn was hit by a car a few mornings ago in Petone. He slipped out under the back fence (the fence is now repaired). He went on a long adventure, I was driving the streets beside myself, I couldn't find him! That afternoon he was picked up by animal services thank goodness, but was limping and had a few scraps.

Xrays showed a break of the shoulder joint on the rib cage side in two places. It is a very rare operation, never done before here and only Massey's Vet have the skills and equipment Zahn needs to make it a success.

Zahn could lose his leg otherwise.

Zahn is now at Massey, surgery s scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

All funds will be paid direct to Massey Vet Hospital. Any surplus will be donated to Massey Vet Hospital for research and development.
