Whatawhata, Waikato

Hello everyone!

I’m gearing up for a marathon of epic proportions – and I’m not talking about running. This June 21st to 22nd, from 4 PM to 4 PM, I’ll be taking on the Te Kowhai Golf Course for 24 hours straight. That’s right, a whole day and night of non-stop golfing madness! Why, you ask? It’s all for a fantastic cause that’s very close to my heart.

My son, Max, is a student at Hillcrest High School and a superstar in a wheelchair. The school’s Physical Assistance Centre has been a game-changer for Max and many other students. Now, they need our help to get a wheelchair-accessible van to make their lives even better.

Imagine me, armed with a golf club and a headlamp, navigating the greens in the dead of night. There will be missed swings, wild shots, and probably some conversations with imaginary golf buddies to keep me sane. It’s going to be a hilarious and exhausting adventure, but every swing is worth it if it means more freedom and opportunities for Max and his friends.

We need your support to make this happen! Every dollar raised will go directly to Hillcrest High School’s Physical Assistance Centre, funding the much-needed van. So please, dig deep, spread the word, and let’s drive this campaign home.

Join me in this crazy challenge – whether you’re cheering from the sidelines, sharing our story, or donating to the cause, every bit helps. Together, we can make a huge difference and give these amazing kids the mobility they deserve.

Swinging for a cause, one hole at a time!
