Zed was a rescue puppy. He is now a support dog for my son with social anxiety. He has been diagnosed with cancer. He is only 4 years.

Hi my name is Zed my best friend’s mum got me 4 years ago to help build up my best friend’s confidence to leave the house. My best friend suffers from social anxiety and doesn’t like to leave the house so I stay with him 24/7 and keep him company. Sometimes we will go for a walk at night together when there is nobody around.
I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and given 3-4 months to live that was 2 months ago. The good news is it is not in my organs or lymph nodes yet. To look at me nobody would think I was dying as I love life to the fullest running and playing like a puppy. The bad news is it will cost around $3,500 for Chemotherapy; the vet clinic has never done chemo before so they have to wear special gowns and have equipment bought, so we would need to buy that for them as it can be very dangerous.
I am a rescue dog from https://www.facebook.com/PAWSRescueNZ/ Ginny saved me and my brothers and sister from a life destined for dog fighting, mum was saved to, she was used as a bait dog, but sadly she had to be put to sleep as she was in such bad condition both mentally and physically. Ginny didn’t think any of us would live but she never gave up on us and now we all stay in contact via face book. I like to think that I survived for a reason to help my human friends. If you could find it in your heart to give a little to help me fulfil my destiny .
I am not scared to die as my mum is waiting for me but I have so much to do here on earth. My best mate needs me, it is so sad when I see my adopted family crying when they talk to me about it all. They don’t know that I understand what’s going on, they feel sad and guilty because they don’t have enough money to start chemo which help prevents the cancer spreading and can even cure it. They have spent all their saving on 2 operations to cut out the nasty lumps. They say I am like a family member and love me just as much.
I have paid for 2 cancer lumps to be removed so far. But as with us all, am struggling to find funds for everyday expenses. Zed is the world to our family, not only as a pet and best friend but as a valuable confidence booster for my son. Ideally we would like to undergo Chemotherapy before the cancer spreads to his organs the sooner he better. If it can be caught early then his chances of beating it are very good. We have been given the time frame of 3-4 months with no treatment, so far it has been nearly 2 months and he looks and acts like a healthy dog. He sure is a fighter
Thank you so much Ian really appreciate your kindness. Zed is doing well I have been overfeeding him whoops and has put on weight, think I am overcompensating cause I don't want him to lose weight. :-) He is still on the Essiac Tea which is a natural treatment. Everyday is precious with him, he is such an amazing good boy. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for your donation, words can not explain how grateful we are. I have been treating him naturally at the moment and he is responding well, he was given 3-4 months and he is in his 4th month with no new tumours so we are so happy, I also have him on a strict diet so we are starving the cancer so to speak. Essiac Tea has been known to cure cancer and am giving him vitamins to increase his immune system. Thank you again from us all, Zed is under the covers in bed with the electric blanket the big baby. :-)
Thank you so much Linda, so grateful for your donation. I am treating him with natural remedies at the moment, Essiac Tea and natural foods. He has had no more tumors appear as yet which is a fantastic sign. Thank you again.
