Zen’s parents need financial support for on-going treatments.
Wellington
As many of you may know, in August last year Zen was diagnosed with leukaemia. This meant he and his parents spent 8 months away from home for treatment in Christchurch hospital. He was an absolute star throughout all of his treatment and we expected them all back home, after one final round of chemo.
After only a brief trip home, Zen was rushed back to Christchurch following an infection that required further treatment. At this point we received the devastating news that Zen’s leukaemia had relapsed. Then the doctors, after consultation with a specialist in America, informed Laurielle and Alex that were no further treatment options. They decided to come home to be close to their families and began researching and implementing alternative treatments. As any parent would, they want to do everything they can to keep Zen healthy and happy. He is receiving a lot of natural care at home that can help him achieve that; from organic juices, tinctures and CBD oil. Alex and Laurielle have begun working with Mederi - a natural cancer clinic in Salem, Oregon, as an extension of his current care.
Both of Zen’s parents are at home looking after him. They are spending their time enjoying being together as a family. We are asking for your support to be able to continue Zen’s treatments.
