Help Zentwist Majestic Reign get her life back following a serious accident
Waipukurau, Hawke's Bay
An unfortunate accident occurred whilst Reign and her pack were at the river which is a normal weekly routine. However we were in a different spot and after Cyclone Gabrielle last year both Reign and I did not see an obscured ditch which she fell into and hyperextended her carpal.
X-rays were taken and given the hyperextension and sideways laxity she has been referred for a Pancarpal Arthrodesis due to damaged tendons and ligaments. Her carpal will be fused to stabilise the joint and prevent Osteoarthritis. She is currently in a splint awaiting surgery.
I’m asking for help as this couldn't have happened at the worst time.
My son Liam and I have just bought our first house. Finally out of renting with dogs.
We moved to CHB just last week, just after her accident.
With the huge expenses involved in buying a house, lawyers and the move, I’m literally broke.
Please if anyone can help givealittle for our journey of surgery and rehab, Reign and I would be most appreciative.
My girl Reign is worth it. She is only 6 years old and I want her to have the best life left.
It has been a very sad time knowing she will never do competitive agility again (my perfect team mate!) or running to catch her frisbee, but hopefully she will be back competing in RallyO, Hoopers if she can and most importantly her quality of life as a dog running around with her pack in the future.
Thankyou for your help.

This operation requires a specialist surgeon and comes with a hefty price of $6-10k depending on where we go for treatment, then costs for weekly splint and bandaging for 16-24 weeks and then physio.
From Reign with Thanks 6 May 2024
Reign sends huge thankyous to everyone that has supported her in her surgery and care. She is doing really well with being crated and loves her evening time on her Accell mat. Her last splint change went well and she’s being more relaxed with the changes. She has X-rays in 2 weeks which will determine how much longer she needs the splint on. She’s a happy girl and can’t wait to run around again. So big thanks from me for helping her operation be affordable and the right choice for her quality of life.
