10 Years in the Making: Giving up the Mane to support the Foundation that cared for my Mum.

For 10 years, my hair has been my trademark. On-site or with mates, it’s what people notice. It has grown alongside my 12-year career and 9 years with my crew—a decade of life reflected in this mane.

As a builder, I’ve learned the foundation holds everything up. My Mum was my foundation. During her battle with cancer, Harbour Hospice provided the incredible care that held our family together. They were the structural support we needed. I want to show my appreciation for the foundation she gave me and the care they gave her.

On Friday, 20 March, this journey ends. With Koko House Hair, I’m finally letting go. This isn’t just a "demo"; it’s a community gift. I’m doing something I’ve never done in my life: a full #1 buzz cut. I’m trading 10 years of growth to build a new chapter of support for Harbour Hospice.

To make this demolition even more meaningful, I am auctioning the "Honor of the First Snip." The highest single donor will win the right to cut the first braid.
