Support Stu run 100 Miles by helping Kea Conservation
Nelson / Tasman
In 1 Month after 6 Months of hard training all going to plan I will toe the start line of the Tarawera 100 Mile Ultra Marathon in Rotorua. This will be my 5th Ultra having completed a 50,60,80 and 102 kilometre races so the last big number is the Miler that's 100 miles or 160 kilometres...oh plus 5000 metres of up and down on trail !
Gulp all those numbers !!!
So if you'd like to support me in this madness then I'd love you to help my Alpine Mates the Kea these beautiful intelligent naughty cheeky birds need our help as there numbers are under threat however the Kea Conservation Trust are doing amazing things to turn around their decline so please help by donating and I'll try and survive the Tarawera !!
Thanks Stu
I love Kea
1 week to go !! 3 February 2019
Thanks to everyone who has kindly donated and for kind comments and support I'd love to thank you all personally !! My training is complete now just the busy time till I can finally toe the start line in fact 50 % of the challenge is just making the start line !
The money you have given will go towards lead removal from huts and Alpine buildings as lead poisoning from Keas injesting leadhead nails or lead flashings is a major killer of Kea.
One of my roles as a Ranger is identifying buildings that still have lead fixtures.
So thanks again
Stu
