Running 1000kms in a year to help 1000s of people struggling with mental health.

Auckland

I'm Josh, 36 from Northland NZ, living in Auckland and married with three kids. Through life I have endured eight years military, a lot of rugby, travel and all that life throws at you - the highs and the lows. I’ve always come out the other side unscathed on the mental health front, but this year 2021, I had some moments when the mind wasn't exactly coping that well. Now that I have worked through it and on the other side, I thought to myself, "I consider myself a (mentally) strong person… if I can be affected, imagine what others are going through."

That's why next year - 2022 - I'm going to run 1000kms to help 1000s of people (hopefully).

I aim to do this in one year and I will donate $1 for every kilometer achieved. If I surpass 1000kms I will continue to donate and run until the 31st December 2022.

That's 2.8kms a day, 19.66kms a week, 83.3kms a month at a minimum!!!

If you would like to donate, run, achieve a goal similar etc, please get onboard. If you would like to join me for some kms please get in contact and I will be stoked to have some company.

Also if you are struggling reach out, or contact Gumboot Friday / iamhope such a great organization that's there to help. We are in it together!!!
