Given by 40 generous donors in 15 days

100+ People Who Care | Dunedin is an open invite crowdfunding initiative set up to give back to local charities in the Dunedin community.

Dunedin, Otago

The charity to receive the donations from the 21 August 2024 meeting was The Straight Up Trust (Rock Solid). Please make your donation here.

Note: You don't have to have attended the meeting or be a member to donate :)

A big thank you to Riding for the Disabled and Child Cancer for sharing about their great work in our community. Please don't hesitate to get involved in supporting their great causes if you connected with them.

About the Group: Members pledge to donate $100 at four fast paced and entertaining one-hour meetings across a year, totalling $400 per year. Three charities share for seven minutes each on their work in the local community. There is a brief question and answer time for each charity. Once the three charities have spoken all meeting attendees vote on which charity should receive the money, and the charity with the most votes wins!

If you'd like to know more about the group please view our social media pages or contact Nick Berryman via nick.berryman@bayleys.co.nz or 027 841 2832.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
