Fundraising for Conductive Education Canterbury

Christchurch, Canterbury

Samuel is 3 and a half and at 10 months old he was diagnosed with a rare brain and genetic condition. This condition causes both physical and development delays / challenges, Sam attends Conductive Education Canterbury, an early Intervention preschool that provides him and his family with support for his development. Conductive relies on both government funding and fundraising to keep running, government funding is minimal and they run multiple fundraising efforts across the year to make ends meet.

Scott wanted to help. Scott and his family are a part of Sam and his whanau’s village…you know the saying it takes a village to raise a child, couldnt be truer and Scott and his fam have been apart of Sam’s journey even before he was born. Scott has seen the hard things Sam has gone through and set his own challenge to get something hard done while raising money for a cause close to him - couldnt get much closer or more personal than raising money to support someone in your village. Scott’s hard thing - running a 100km ultra marathon, thats 100km in one go, and yes thats a hard thing to do.

Join us over the next few weeks while we raise money for Conductive Education until race day on 13th October. We’d love your support to make a meaningful impact at conductive for Sammy and all the kids who rely on their support.

Thank you! He did it!!  14 October 2024

Thank you so much for all the donations, we are absolutely blown away and stoked to have met the target we had for Conductive Education Canterbury. Scott ran his race and smashed it! 100km in the bank. He finished the run in 14 hours and 32 minutes. A huge effort and we couldn't be more proud of him and what he has done for our whanau with raising these funds for Conductive Education Canterbury. Thank you again, Rach and fam.
